Our website may link to websites, articles, text, graphics, music, video, applications, software, and other content that belong to or come from third parties. We do not investigate, monitor, or check them for accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness, and we are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or policies.

Including or linking to third-party websites or content does not mean that we approve or endorse them, and we do not warrant, endorse, or assume responsibility for any product or service offered by a third party or for any transaction between you and a third party. If you leave our website to use third-party websites or content, you do so at your own risk, and these Terms and Conditions no longer govern. Purchases you make through third-party websites are between you and that third party.

Website Management

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor the website for violations of these Terms and Conditions; take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates the law or these Terms and Conditions, including reporting that person to law enforcement; refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable any content or any portion of the website; remove or disable files and content that are excessive in size or burdensome to our systems; and otherwise manage the website in a way that protects our rights and property and keeps the website working properly.

Term and Termination

These Terms and Conditions remain in effect while you use our website. Without limiting any other provision, we may deny access to and use of the website, including by blocking certain IP addresses, to any person for any reason, including for breach of these Terms and Conditions or of any applicable law or regulation, without notice or liability. If we terminate or suspend your access for any reason, you may not create a new account or access the website under your own name, a fake or borrowed name, or the name of any third party, even if you are acting on that party's behalf. In addition, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action, including civil, criminal, and injunctive remedies.

Modifications and Interruptions

We may change, modify, suspend, or remove the content or features of the website at any time and for any reason, at our sole discretion and without notice. We have no obligation to update any information on the website or to maintain or support it. We cannot guarantee that the website will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems, or need to perform maintenance, that cause interruptions, delays, or errors. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by any modification, price change, suspension, interruption, or discontinuance of the website, or by your inability to access or use it.

Corrections

Our website may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including in descriptions, pricing, and availability. We reserve the right to correct them and to change or update information on the website at any time without prior notice.

User Data

We maintain certain data you transmit through the website to manage its performance, as well as data about how you use it. You are responsible for keeping copies of any content you submit or transmit through the website. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the loss or corruption of that content. This does not limit our responsibilities for protected health information under HIPAA, which are described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Our website is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, and your use of it is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the website and your use of it, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the website's content or of any linked website, and we assume no liability for errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content, personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to and use of the website, unauthorized access to or use of our servers or the information stored on them, interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the website, bugs or viruses transmitted through the website by a third party, or any loss or damage resulting from the use of content made available through the website.

In no event will we or our directors, employees, or agents be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, or loss of data, arising from your use of the website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our liability to you for any cause related to your use of the website, regardless of the form of the action, is limited to the lesser of the amount you paid us during the six (6) months before the cause of action arose or $500.00 USD. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If those laws apply to you, some or all of these limitations may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights.

These limitations apply to your use of our website. They do not apply to, and do not limit, the clinical care you receive from our providers, which is governed by applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including our subsidiaries, affiliates, and all of our respective officers, agents, partners, and employees, from any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees and expenses, made by a third party due to or arising out of: (1) your use of the website; (2) your breach of these Terms and Conditions; (3) your breach of the representations and warranties in these Terms and Conditions; (4) your violation of the rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights; or (5) any overt harmful act toward another user of the website.

We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you must indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of the claim. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any claim, action, or proceeding that is subject to this indemnification when we become aware of it.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act do not apply to these Terms and Conditions. If a dispute arises from your use of our website, the parties agree to first try to resolve it informally for at least thirty (30) days after written notice from one party to the other.

If the dispute is not resolved, it will be settled by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association and, where appropriate, its Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes. By agreeing to arbitration, you understand that you give up the right to sue in court and to have a jury trial. The arbitration will take place in San Diego, California, and may be conducted in person, by submission of documents, by phone, or online. The arbitrator will make a decision in writing, and any award may be challenged if the arbitrator fails to follow applicable law. Any arbitration will be limited to the dispute between the parties individually. To the full extent permitted by law, no arbitration will be joined with another proceeding, and there is no right to arbitrate a dispute on a class-action basis or in a representative capacity.

Disputes about intellectual property rights, allegations of theft, piracy, invasion of privacy, or unauthorized use, and claims for injunctive relief are not subject to informal negotiation or arbitration. If a dispute proceeds in court, it will be brought in the state and federal courts located in San Diego, California, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts and waive any defense of lack of personal jurisdiction or inconvenient forum. No dispute may be commenced more than one (1) year after the cause of action arose.

California Users and Residents

If a complaint with us is not satisfactorily resolved, you can contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, California 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.

Electronic Communications

Visiting our website, sending us emails, and completing online forms constitute electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing. You agree to the use of electronic signatures, contracts, orders, and other records, and to electronic delivery of notices, policies, and records of transactions initiated or completed by us or through our website. You waive any rights or requirements under any law that requires an original signature or the delivery or retention of non-electronic records.

Miscellaneous

These Terms and Conditions, together with any policies or operating rules we post on the website, are the entire agreement between you and us. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time. We are not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, delay, or failure to act caused by a cause beyond our reasonable control. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. No joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship is created between you and us by these Terms and Conditions or by your use of the website. These Terms and Conditions will not be construed against us because we drafted them. You waive any defense based on the electronic form of these Terms and Conditions and the lack of signatures by the parties.

Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time and for any reason. Changes take effect when they are posted with an updated effective date, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each change. It is your responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions periodically. Your continued use of our website after revised terms are posted means that you accept the changes.

Laser Vein Treatment

Laser Vein Pre-Treatment Instructions
laser treatment for spider veins
1. Discontinue medications or supplements that may thin your blood one week prior to vein treatments to minimize bruising and improve the success of your treatment. This includes fish oil, flax seed oil, Vitamin E, ginkgo blob, anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve), and red wine. If you are taking aspirin electively and not upon the advice of your physician, then you may stop it for 48 hours prior to your treatment. Do not stop aspirin if prescribed or recommended by your physician.

2. You may wish to bring a pair of shorts to wear during your treatment if you are having your legs treated.

3. If facial veins are being treated, there may be minor bruising and/or swelling following treatment. This can typically be covered using make-up. Plan accordingly since your face may show slight evidence of the laser treatment for a week or more.

4. If leg veins are being treated, there may be minor bruising, discoloration, and welting over treatment sites. Larger leg veins may appear bruised for a period of time after treatment. Full results can take weeks or months to be realized. Plan and schedule treatments accordingly, allowing for healing time and time for your treatment results to evolve to completion. The best time to treat leg veins are in fall, winter and spring when you are less inclined to wear shorts or be exposed to sun.

5. Plan treatments allowing for a period of no sun exposure, vigorous activity or useof hot tubs, saunas or spas for 48 hours after treatment.

VARITHENA® CHEMICAL ABLATION

illustration of varithena foam injection
Varithena® may be recommended based on your vein location, size, anatomy and vein tortuosity.
Varithena® is:
• Effective to treat veins of different sizes above and below the knee
• Requires no incisions, sedation or general anesthesia
• Does not require a wire to be inserted along the length of your vein
• Does not use heat, eliminating the risk of thermal injury
WHAT IS VARITHENA®?
Varithena® is a "microfoam" formulation of polidocanol (sclerosing agent) and CO2. The result is a microfoam that has an appearance and consistency similar to white, foamy shave cream.
Ultrasound guidance is used to inject Varithena® microfoam into the vein. The microfoam fills the lumen for circumferential contact where it's designed to displace blood and destroy the endothelial lining efficiently.

Video below shows the proceedure.
How many treatments will I need?
The number and frequency of treatments depends on a patient's anatomy, how quickly the veins respond, and the patient's treatment goals. There is a limit on the amount of medication we can give you each day to avoid causing side effects. Some larger or resistant veins may require two treatments to respond completely but most veins respond to Varithena® after one treatment.
What should I expect on my treatment days?
You will sign your consent form then change into shorts provided by the office. We will clean your skin with alcohol, then use ultrasound to localize the veins. The foam medication will then be injected into your veins with a fine needle. The foam fills and treats the desired section of the vein. The diseased vein collapses and the foam is deactivated. Your legs will be elevated on a comfortable wedge pillow for approximately 15 minutes. After your treatment, we will help you into your compression stockings, then you will walk for 30 minutes prior to getting in your car.
